The SG82NP 8 Port PoE Gigabit Switch is designed to meet the needs of modern network environments. It features 8 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet ports and 2 additional 10/100/1000Base-T uplink ports. Ports 1-8 can transmit data signals while simultaneously providing power to IP-based devices. Each port supports a maximum power output of 12/24V, delivering power only to devices that comply with the non-standard 4/5+ and 7/8- polarity; non-PoE compliant devices should not be connected to avoid potential damage.
This switch includes a toggle switch that allows Ports 1-8 to operate at 10Mbps, facilitating transmission distances of up to 250 meters over existing twisted-pair cables. Ports 1-8 are individually isolated but can communicate with Uplink Ports 9-10, effectively isolating collision domains and minimizing broadcast storms, which enhances overall network communication efficiency. The SG82NP is an ideal solution for establishing video surveillance networks in hotels, retail shops, supermarkets, residential homes, and small to medium-sized enterprises.
